A developer discovered Cursor's API sends kimi-k2p5-rl-0317 in requests. Moonshot AI's pretraining lead confirmed an identical tokenizer and accused Cursor of violating Kimi K2.5's license, which requires branding for products exceeding $20M/month revenue. Cursor is at roughly $166M/month — 8x over the threshold.
